Malaysia’s state investment arm Khazanah Nasional has raised RM704.7 million (US$207.5 million) after placing out about 87 million shares in national utility Teanga, dealers said today.

The shares were sold at RM8.10 a share, the dealers said.

The placement was part of Khazanah’s plan to reduce its ownership in government-linked companies in a bid to increase market liquidity in those companies and create a more vibrant stock market, the dealers said.
