Its so hard to find happy news in the newspaper or in the net nowadays. Most of these media publish unhappy events, tragedies, turmoil, disaster, doomdays prediction, spread of illnesses and financial crisis.
Pro Trade Shares decided to start a new category called HAPPY NEWS. This category will have posts or articles on happy events that I read or found published in any form of media. I will be most greatful if readers can email me via my contact form any news that fall under the Happy News category and I will publish them here with the contributor name in this category (even a link to the contributor and the origin sites of the news).
To start off, I read in the Financial Daily Newspaper dated 10 April 2008, Lingkaran Trans Kota Holdings Bhd (a Bursa Main Board company) has announced a distribution of RM1.00 per share to their shareholders. It will be RM0.93 from capital repayment and RM0.07 for interem dividend.
The shares has been traded between RM3.50 and RM3.90 since February 2008. It closed yesterday at RM3.84 and opened this morning at a high of RM4.00 (up 16sen). I expect the stock’s price to go even higher after everyone read the news today.
A RM1.00 distribution represents a 25% return on investment if you buy it at RM4.00.
